TIO Markets
20 dolardan başlayan hesaplar, MT4 ve MT5
This article is not a review, but a usage note. The broker pages on the site are written with license numbers and verifiable figures; what I describe here is what I have seen on my own account. Do not confuse the two: the following is my experience, yours may be different.
I have been using TIO Markets for a while, and my overall impression is positive. Let me write down what I liked and why, as well as what you must know before opening an account.
The dashboard gets the job done
The investor dashboard is something many underestimate in this business, yet it is the place you interact with most on a daily basis. TIO's is simple and fast: deposits, withdrawals, switching accounts, and uploading documents take just a few clicks. You do not get lost in menus, and transaction history looks clear.
The reason I write this separately is that there are still firms in the industry with dashboards stuck in the 2010s, splitting withdrawal requests across three separate pages. A modern dashboard is not a luxury; it is an indicator of whether the firm pays attention to its software.
Crypto withdrawals take minutes
This was the most decisive factor for me. The deposits and withdrawals I made via crypto were completed within minutes. You submit the request, and the transaction goes through.
Withdrawal speed is the most honest metric you can measure at a broker; because it cannot be marketed, it either happens or it doesn't. When evaluating a broker, I look at this before spreads.
I cannot say the same for processing times on the bank and card side — intermediary banks come into play there, and my experience is not as clear-cut as with crypto. Therefore, I am not providing a timeframe for that side.
Spreads do not go crazy during data releases
Reasonable spreads under normal market conditions are expected. The real test is what happens during major data releases: non-farm payrolls, interest rate decisions, inflation data. At some firms, spreads widen so much during those minutes that your stop-loss gets hit before the market even moves.
At TIO, widening naturally occurs during data releases — this happens everywhere as liquidity gets pulled. However, I have not seen absurd widening. This makes a tangible difference if you hold positions during news releases.
Unlimited leverage: use it knowing what it is
TIO's Standard account features unlimited leverage. This is a rare opportunity in the industry, and I list it as a positive — but not without clearly explaining what it is.
Unlimited leverage practically eliminates margin requirements. That means the natural brake limiting your position size is removed. It magnifies losses just as much as profits; on a small account, a single adverse move can wipe out the balance.
I find this useful not for increasing position size, but for holding the same position while locking up less margin. That distinction is everything. Leverage is a tool, not a strategy — determine your position size based on what you can afford to lose, not what the leverage allows.
Note: unlimited leverage is only applicable to the Standard account. On Nano, Raw, and VIP Black accounts, the upper limit is 1:500.
What you need to know before opening an account
There is something I need to state clearly here without changing the tone, because at the start of the article I said "my experience," and this part is not an experience, but a structural fact.
TIO Markets operates through three separate entities: TIO Markets UK Ltd licensed by the FCA in the UK, TIO Markets CY Ltd licensed by CySEC in Cyprus, and TIO Markets Ltd licensed by MISA in Comoros. Since Turkey is outside both the UK and the European Economic Area, an account opened from here is registered under the third entity.
In practice, this means: the FCA's FSCS protection and CySEC's investor compensation fund do not apply to your account. This is not unique to TIO — almost all international brokers on the list operate with the same structure. But there is a difference between knowing and not knowing, and seeing which company you are contracting with when signing the agreement is your right.
Also this: the FCA issued clone firm warnings for tiomarkets-trading.com and tiopremarkets.com, which impersonate the TIO name. These are not TIO's own websites. Check the URL when opening an account.
In summary
TIO Markets is a solid entity. The dashboard is modern, crypto withdrawals are genuinely fast, spreads do not get out of hand during data releases, and most features expected from a global firm are present. It is a reasonable choice for someone looking to start on MT4/MT5 with small capital.
What you knowingly accept in return is that your account is connected to the offshore entity. If this trade-off is suitable for you, there is no problem; if not, you should look for a tier-1 licensed alternative.
You can check the TIO Markets review page for licence numbers, account types, and the full rating.
